Kate Chopin- The Story of an Hour

This was a very surprising story.  Throughout the story I got a very gloomy, dismal setting and at the very end it started getting more happy till the last sentence where it turned back to incredibly sad.  The very end would have been happy but you learn that the woman does not want her husband alive and feels that she is his slave.
